MashUp Game Jam 2020 "Size Matters"
The Swoley Grail
Made for Mashup Game Jam 2020, a competition to create a game based on the theme “Size Matters” in 72 hours.
All the art for this game was made by me, during the competition period. This game relies mostly on timing-based mini-games and an absurd premise. Humor was a big part of the game and the design wanted to reflect a certain roughness as well as a retro feel. The sprite evolves differently based on the player’s actions so it was a challenge to create a modular set of sprites. All in all, while it's a bit rough around the edges, we had a fun time making a fun game.

GMTK Game Jam 2020 "Out of control"
Catharsis
All the art for this game was made by me, during the competition period.  While the mechanics of the game are similar to arcade shoot-em-ups, the direction for the game was to stand out with a unique concept for the player and an art style that reflected that. The backgrounds are an abstract journey in color and texture, and the sprites are strange moving representations of common mental blocks.  I worked closely with the designer, composer, and programmer to create artwork that reflected the gameplay, a cohesive experience, and was practical and usable within the short time frame.
